Wordless Wednesday :: Missing Person :: Dwight A. Clark

UPDATE:  Dwight Clark was found dead, full story here.  'All of us at the Bellingham Police Department are deeply saddened with this tragic confirmation.' Chief Ramsay went on to say, 'I want to sincerely thank the many volunteers for coming together in the search for Dwight. We were all hopeful that he would be found safe. Mostly, I want to express our heartfelt sense of loss to the family and friends of Dwight. I want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this extremely difficult time.'"

Dwight Clark a WWU student missing since weekend party

Bellingham,Washington and campus police are asking for help in locating a Western Washington University student who has been missing since he did not come home after a weekend party.  Freshman Dwight A. Clark, 18, was reported missing Sunday night. He was last seen leaving a party in the 1000 block of Indian Street at around 2 a.m Sunday, Sept. 26.

Clark, who is from Auburn, lives on campus and did not return to his campus dormitory. He is 6-foot-2 and weighs about 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, police said. Clark was last seen wearing a pink tie-dyed v-neck t-shirt, blue jeans and black Nike athletic shoes.

 Anyone with information should contact University Police immediately at 360-650-3555 or 911.

I get asked frequently the best tips for great skin.  I believe that the key to healthy skin is a healthy lifestyle.  I always give my tips for Skin Care Steps, but the reality is that your skin reflects your lifestyle. 

    

Recently I found a document that I put together for Essential Wholesale employees back in 2005.  I had made some radical changes in my diet and exercise plan.  Our employees asked me my best advice for their overall health. They didn't want the quick answers of drink lots of water, eat healthy, only drink in moderation, don't smoke and so forth.  They wanted in depth steps.

The cycle a woman's hormones goes through in a matter of a month is like a giant rollercoaster; let alone over a lifetime.  Our hormones go up and down, upside down, all around, and then all of the above all over again. Our hormones send us on a variety of loops that are sometimes scary and other times exciting and creative. A woman's body is naturally in tune with the properties of essential oils which are the living essence of a plant.

  

Plants smell for two main reasons; defense and attraction. It is the plants need to attract that gives plants an almost feminine nature. The aromatic essential oil of a plant helps in reproduction by attracting insects and animals for pollination and seed dispersal. The Whole Story :: Uncensored

I have found the battle to get the truth about cosmetics out in the public has been an uphill battle.  The most difficult part is that the majority of blogs, newsletters and "news" sources are censoring comments.  I have left several comments that tell the rest of the story on multiple sources of misinformation only to find that they either never make it out of moderation or are immediately deleted.   

    

A perfect example is the comment I attempted to leave on the blog Whole Story by Whole Foods.  My belief is that if you are presenting your opinion as the "Whole Story" then you should be willing to allow opposing opinions to appear on your blog.  I have people disagree with me on Essential U.  I don't remove or block their comments simply because their opinion contradicts mine.  If the post is rude, crude, lewd or simply spam then it gets deleted, but otherwise the comment is allowed to stay public.

Keep Your Eyes on the Goal and Your Pathway

In business and life I have found that you have to make a conscious decision about where you are going on a regular basis. If you are moving in a forward direction without planning you can suddenly find your business in some difficult times. My brother and I discovered the pearls of inattentive upward motion while skiing in the German Alps.

  

I was a college student and he was working on his masters so we didn't get to see each other often. We started talking as we traveled up the mountains, jumping from one lift to the next without noticing. After traveling upwards for some time we took a moment to observe our surroundings. Suddenly we noticed that we were the only ones traveling on a chair lift to the peak of the mountain.

Rule #1 - never consume essential oils.  Even if you read a book by an aromatherapist from a country that uses essential oils internally they should never be consumed. The practice of consuming essential oils is dangerous and was only ever designed to be done under the care of an aromatherapist trained in that form of therapy.  In addition studies have shown that topical aromatherapy is more effective than internal aromatherapy methods.
