Heather is our new Office Manager at Essential Wholesale. Heather knew immediately what kind of product she wanted to make for the Essential Wholesale Recipe Wall of Fame. Heather told me that 15 years ago she tried to make a lip balm from scratch from a recipe that she found but that her batch failled. Heather said that her CinnaMint Lip Gloss was a dream come true.
Heather chose Melt & Pour High Gloss Lip Balm as her starting base.
Heather wanted to create a cooling and warming lip gloss so she chose to use both peppermint and cinnamon essential oil to flavor her product.
Heather wanted to color her lip gloss but wanted to chose a color that would match anyone's skin color. Heather chose to use Essential Wholesale's Pink Opal Eye Shadow as a colorant.
Heather added the color one tablespoon at the time until she reached a color that she was happy with. She tested the color by dropping a few drops on a white paper and allowing it to cool.
When Heather had the color she was happy with she added essential oils and poured her product for her co-workers at Essential Wholesale.
Heather's CinnaMint Lip Gloss
14.5 oz Essential Wholesale M&P High Gloss Lipgloss
1 1/2 tsp Peppermint 3rd Essential Oil
1 tsp Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil
3 tablespoons Pink Opal Eye Shadow
Directions
1. Microwave M&P Lip Gloss in the microwave on high for 2 1/2 min (watch closely as microwaves vary)
2. Mix in color thoroughly
3. Mix in essential oils
4. Pour immediately
