Meet Lisa Bardsley
Our "Go To" Girl
e have had the pleasure of getting to know Lisa "Brooksie" Bardsley over the years in many capacities. We first met her in 2002 when she owned and operated her own personal care line called Old Thyme Bath Company until 2004. She purchase raw materials and essential oils to make her own line but in the back of her mind she says she always "knew" she would work for us some day.
When I held aromatherapy classes Brooksie was an eager and faithful student. She was and is still excited and hungry to learn more at all times. Finally in 2007, we had a position open at the right time that was perfect to encompass all of her talents and education.
Brooksie a huge asset to Essential Wholesale as an Essential Labs Project Manager. She is the go-to person if you are ready to hand your product manufacturing and filling over to us at Essential Wholesale. If think you are ready to make the leap into private label or custom formulations send her an email Brooksie.
Brooksie has been a fully licensed cosmetologist since 1988. She has worked in every aspect of the beauty industry as a: hairstylist, esthetician, make-up artist, company owner, and outside and inside salesperson. She is able to understand all the trials and needs of our private label customers because she has been there herself. She can guide a customer from start to finish through the private label process. She is highly educated and passionate about the beauty industry and is able to share her knowledge effectively.
Brooksie is one of the most unique people I know. Her catch phrase on our interoffice Instant Message Systems is "why be normal?" I love that about Brooksie! She is comfortable in the skin she is in. She lives her life exactly as she wants to. She is passionate about the same things we hold near and dear to our hearts at Essential Wholesale. This common passion has led her to have a deep desire to join our team for some time. Natural beauty care, green and organic living are mutual themes that we live by and she fits right into the Essential Wholesale Family as if she had always been here.
Brooksie will be celebrating her 40th birthday in June. She is engaged to Lee and they recently adopted a cat named Snow Puff from the humane society. She lives in a cozy 1930's bungalow in Portland, Oregon. Her passions have allowed her to travel all around the United States on more than one occasion. She loves clothes - especially vintage clothes, and she wears her collection of vintage clothing daily. She just loves the look and it fits into the "green" recycling lifestyle that is critical to her. Some of her clothes are between 50 and 70 years old and have been recycled many times. What I love most about her attire is that she does her hair and make-up to match the era of clothes she is wearing. Everyday seeing Brooksie is an adventure.
Lisa says, "It was very much a natural progression in my life to eventually work here. Over the past several years I had talked to Dennis, Kayla and Laura, about working here, too many times to count. I feel as though I have been here since the beginning because I just about have. I have a passion for working with cosmetics and have worked with natural products for almost half of my life. The people I work with are great; everybody is so helpful and knowledgeable. Dennis and Kayla are very generous people and there are many great benefits and perks for working here."
